Mahesh Electrical Instruments

Our workshop is tucked away in Bhagtani Enclave, right near the Anandraj Industrial Estate in Bhandup West. It’s off LBS Marg, down Sonapur Lane, so it can be a bit tricky to find if you aren't looking closely. We deal with electrical instruments, which means a lot of small parts and very careful work. It’s not as loud as some of the bigger factories, but we’re always busy. The shelves are filled with tools and meters and bits of wire. We spend our time testing things and making sure they read correctly. It’s a bit of a specialized trade, and we’ve learned it by doing it day after day. The street outside is always crowded with tempos and people moving goods, so there’s a lot of energy around us. We usually start the day with a quick talk about what needs fixing or calibrating. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just fix instruments and sell parts. It’s a practical business. Sometimes the rain makes it hard to get deliveries in, but we manage. Most of our customers are people from the nearby industrial areas who know they can just drop in. We like the grit of Bhandup and the way everyone is just trying to get their work done. We aren't looking to be the biggest, just to be useful to the people who come to us.
