Our little flower shop is tucked away in the Hoteloberoi Shopping Centre. We are right by the Union Bank Bhavan on Satellite Road. It’s a decent sized building, so we aren't too hard to spot if you are looking for the bank nearby. I spend most of my mornings getting everything ready and checking what came in for the day. The shop smells like wet stems and earth most of the time, which I guess is expected when you work with plants. We’ve been at this location for a good bit now. Some days it’s really quiet and I just sit and sort through things or trim the leaves. Other days we get a big rush when people are leaving the hotel or finished with their business at the bank. It's just a regular local shop. We don't have a huge staff or anything, mostly just a couple of us here helping out the regulars. We keep the buckets filled and try to make sure everything looks decent on the shelves for whoever walks in. Satellite Road gets pretty busy during the afternoon. I usually have the radio playing in the background while I work on the arrangements. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy. We don't go for anything too flashy or modern here. It’s just flowers and plants in a small space. People stop in because they need something quick on their way home to their families. We're usually here until late.
