Mactech Engineers

Our office is at B-704 in Gokul Nagri II (A and B), which is part of Thakur Village right along the W. E. Highway in Kandivali. Being so close to the highway means there is a constant sound of traffic, but you get used to it after a while. Mactech Engineers is where we handle the technical side of things, mostly planning and managing engineering projects. It’s a bit higher up in the building, so we get a decent view of the Kandivali area when we take a break. The space is mostly filled with desks, computers, and a lot of rolled-up blueprints that we haven't found a permanent home for yet. We aren't a massive firm with hundreds of employees; it’s just a dedicated group of us who have been doing this for a while. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at designs, trying to figure out the best way to put things together for our clients. Sometimes the lifts in the building are slow, which can be annoying when we are in a hurry, but that’s just life in a Mumbai suburb. We don’t have any fancy mission statements on the walls. We just come in, do the calculations, and make sure the engineering holds up. It’s practical work for people who like solving problems. We try to finish up by early evening, but sometimes the work keeps us here late.
