Our place is located in the New Sonal Industrial Estate, specifically at Plot No-C-2/3. We are right on Saki Vihar Road in the Powai area of Andheri East. Anyone who works in Mumbai knows that this road is always packed with traffic, so we hear the honking of horns all day long. The industrial estate itself is a bit of a maze, but we are situated in a spot that’s not too hard to find once you get inside. We spend our time working on machine tool designs and control systems. It is technical work that requires a lot of concentration, even with all the noise outside. The shop floor is filled with different parts and blueprints spread out on desks. We don't have fancy furniture or a modern lobby. It's just a functional space where we can focus on the technical details. Sometimes we stay late when a particular control system is giving us trouble. The air conditioning in the small office area struggles against the Mumbai humidity, but we’ve gotten used to it. Most of our neighbors are also small industrial units, so there’s a sense of community among the workers here. We usually grab lunch from the local stalls nearby. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there; we just want to make sure the tools we put together actually work the way they are supposed to.
