You’ll find us at Unit No 101 in the Kanchan Industrial Premises. We are located on Saki Naka Telephone Exchange Lane in Andheri East. Mumbai is a very crowded place, and this area is no exception. M M Hydro-Pneumatics is the business we run here. The lane outside is always packed with vehicles and people moving around. Inside, it’s a bit more controlled, but it’s still an industrial space. We deal with hydraulic and pneumatic parts, so there’s often a bit of oil on the floor and heavy metal components stacked on shelves. It’s a noisy neighborhood with all the other workshops nearby. We’ve got our workbench set up and a small desk for the billing. It’s not the kind of place where you’d bring a guest to impress them, but it’s where the actual work happens. The staff here has been around for years. We know the regulars who come by for parts or repairs. Dealing with the Mumbai humidity is always a struggle, but we have some fans going to keep it tolerable. We just get through the day’s list of jobs and try to stay organized. It’s a busy, cramped, and honest way to make a living in the city. We keep a stash of biscuits for tea time, which is usually around four o’clock. Then we finish up whatever is left and head home. It's a long day, but that is just Mumbai life.
