M Hussain Art Gallery

M Hussain Art Gallery is tucked away on the first floor of the Agha Khan Building. Our address is 46 3rd Teerkhan Street in Mumbai Central. It is an old building with a lot of character, which fits the kind of work we do here. We have all sorts of pieces hanging on the walls and leaning against the corners in the back. It is not like those big, empty galleries you see in movies or fancy magazines. Ours is a bit crowded and smells like paint and old wooden frames. We have been here for a while, and the neighborhood knows us. People come in to look around or ask about a specific piece they saw. We don't really do big opening nights or anything too formal. It is mostly just us here, taking care of the art and talking to whoever walks through the door. Mumbai Central is a noisy place, but up here on the first floor, it feels a bit different. We spend a lot of our time cleaning frames or organizing the stock we have in the storage area. It is a lot of work to keep everything in good shape. We aren't trying to be famous or anything; we just like what we do. If you are walking down 3rd Teerkhan Street, you might miss the entrance if you aren't looking closely. But for those who know us, it is a familiar spot. We just enjoy the art and the daily routine of running the gallery.
