Our shop is located at 30 Neha Industrial Estate, right across from the Tata S spot in Borivali East. It is a busy area with a lot of noise from the other units and the traffic outside on the main road. The workshop has been here for some time, and it looks like an engineering place should, with grease on the floor and tools hanging on the walls. We spend a lot of time working on different parts and fixing things that people bring in. It gets pretty loud when the machines are running, so you have to talk a bit louder to be heard over the clanking of metal. The air usually smells like oil and burnt metal, which is something you just get used to after a week or two. We don't have a big front office or anything like that. People just walk in through the main door and tell us what they need help with. Sometimes the place gets cluttered with old parts and scrap that we need to sort out. Borivali East is a good spot for us because people know where the industrial estate is. We keep the doors open most of the day to let some air move through, though it stays warm inside because of the work being done. It is just a plain, hard-working shop where we do our best to finish what we started. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend hours just getting things back in order for the next day.
