Libra Event

When people look for Libra Event, they usually just find our email addresses like Rupa’s Yahoo or Indiatimes accounts. That’s because we don't really have a big storefront where we display things. It’s more of a mobile operation. Rupa and the rest of us are usually busy on our phones or laptops, trying to coordinate a hundred different things at once. We work out of our homes or small shared spaces, so our office is basically wherever we are with a signal. Our desks are usually piled high with notebooks, fabric samples, and lists that we’ve scribbled on scraps of paper. It can be quite stressful when a deadline is coming up, and we spend a lot of late nights staring at screens and sending out emails. We aren't a big corporation with a fancy building; we are just a few people who like putting things together. Sometimes things go wrong, like a vendor being late or a color not being right, and we have to scramble to fix it. That’s just the nature of the work we do. We don't have a mission statement or any of that stuff. We just try to stay on top of the emails and make sure nothing gets forgotten in the shuffle. It’s a lot of small details and long hours. Most days we are just juggling calls and hoping the weather stays clear.
