L&T Chiyoda Ltd. Mumbai

It might seem a bit strange that we have Mumbai in our name but our address is here in Norway. That’s just how it worked out for L&T Chiyoda Ltd. The office here is quiet compared to what you’d find in India. We spend most of our days looking at papers and dealing with the cold weather outside. It’s a different pace of life. We have a small team and we mostly keep to ourselves, focusing on the projects on our desks. The light changes early in the winter months, so we end up working under the office lights for most of the afternoon. We don’t have any big slogans or anything like that. We just come in, do the work that needs doing, and head home. Sometimes we talk about the distance between here and Mumbai, but mostly we’re just busy with the day-to-day tasks. The coffee machine in the breakroom gets a lot of use. It’s a plain office, nothing too stylish. We just try to stay organized and get through the pile of emails. People ask us why we’re located where we are, and we just tell them it’s where the office is. There’s no big story behind it. It’s just a group of people working together in Norway under a name that reminds us of somewhere much warmer. It is simple work, but it keeps us all occupied throughout the week.
