Lalaji & Sons

Lalaji & Sons is located at Plot No. 15, Indira Niwas, on Avantikabai Gokhale Street. We are right in the Opera House area, which is always busy and full of life. This office has been in our family for a long time. It’s an old building, Indira Niwas, and it has a lot of character, even if the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. We mostly deal with diamonds or jewelry-related business, as that’s what this whole area is famous for. Our space is small and usually filled with the sound of people talking and phones ringing. We don't have a big fancy showroom with lights. It's more of a place where we sit down with our regular clients and discuss business over some snacks and tea. We know almost everyone on the street by name, from the chai wala to the other shop owners. It’s a very traditional way of doing things. We don't really use computers for every single thing; a lot of our notes are still kept in those red cloth-bound books. It’s how our father did it, and we just kept the tradition going. Sometimes the traffic in Opera House is so bad that it takes forever for anyone to reach us, but people still make the trip. We don't bother with much advertising. Our name in the market is enough to keep us busy. It’s a simple, straightforward life here in the city.
