Our office, Lahoti Exports Pvt. Ltd., is located at 203 Chartered House on C H Street. We are right near New Marine in Kalbadevi. If you know Mumbai, you know Kalbadevi is one of those places where history and business are all mixed up. The building is old and has that specific smell of paper and stone. We spend our days dealing with a lot of international trade details. It’s a lot of coordination between different parties. The streets around here are always blocked with trucks or people carrying big bundles of goods on their heads. It makes getting to the office a bit of a challenge sometimes, but it's part of the charm of working in this district. We don't have a modern, glass-walled office. It’s more of a traditional setup where every inch of space is used for files or samples. We aren't here to impress anyone with a fancy lobby. We just focus on the exports and making sure all the shipping documents are in order. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing all afternoon. We just keep our heads down and get through the pile of work on the desk. It’s honest work in a busy part of the city, and we’ve been at it for a long time now without needing to change much about how we operate.
