Kushal Masala

Kushal Masala is located at Shop No.1 & 2 in Nawab Mention. We are on Dr. Maheshwari Road in Dongri, which is in the Chinch Bunder area. We are quite close to the Sandhurst Road Railway Station. If you know Mumbai, you know this part of town is incredibly busy and packed with old buildings. Our shop is on the ground floor. We spend most of our time grinding and mixing masalas. The air in here is always spicy, and it makes you sneeze if you aren't used to it. We've been in Nawab Mention for a long time. It’s an old building with a lot of character. We have regulars who have been buying from us for years. They come for their specific blends. We don't use any fancy marketing. Word of mouth is how most people find us. The area around Sandhurst Road is always moving, with people rushing to catch trains. We stay focused on our work inside the shop. It gets cramped when we have a lot of bags delivered. We just pile them up and work around them. It’s a bit chaotic, but we know where everything is. The staff are like family. We eat lunch together in the back and talk about the day. It’s a real, hardworking environment. We aren't looking to expand into a big chain. We just like making good masala for the people in Dongri. Sometimes the power goes out, so we just wait it out.
