Kriti Fastners

Kriti Fastners is up on the 5th floor of the Laxmi Building, which is located at 126/128 Nagdevi Street. If you know Nagdevi Street, you know it is the place to go for hardware and industrial stuff in Mumbai. The street is always packed with carts and people carrying heavy bags of bolts and tools. Our office and storage are way up on the fifth floor, so we spend a lot of time waiting for the lift or walking the stairs when it is busy. We have thousands of different fasteners stored here. It is just rows and rows of shelves with small boxes. It gets a bit stuffy up here in the afternoon, but we have the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes through. We are not a big fancy supplier; we are just a small group of people who know a lot about screws and bolts. The building is old and has a lot of character, and we have been here long enough that we know all the other tenants. We spend the day checking orders and counting out pieces. Sometimes the noise from the street below is so loud we have to shout to hear each other. We don't have any corporate mission or anything like that. We just make sure the boxes go out and the inventory is right. It is a lot of repetitive work, but it is what we do.
