At Kings Ice Cream Ltd in Kurla East, we spend most of our time worrying about the freezers. If the power goes out, even for a little bit, it’s a big problem for us. It’s a small factory setup. We aren't some giant corporation with a glass building. It’s just a functional space where we mix and freeze things. Kurla East is a busy place, and getting the delivery vans out through the narrow lanes is always a struggle in the afternoons. We make several flavors, some that people really like and some that just sit there for a while. It’s hard to predict what people will want from week to week. The staff here has been together for a long time, so we all know what needs to be done without talking too much. We don't have fancy packaging with bright colors. It's just simple containers that do the job. Sometimes we experiment with a new taste, but usually, we stick to what we know works. The floor is always cold, which is nice in the summer but not so great in the winter. We don’t do much in terms of promotion. Most people find out about us just by seeing the trucks or hearing from a neighbor. It’s a straightforward business. We make the ice cream, we freeze it, and we send it out. That's pretty much the whole story of how we spend our days.
