Kingfisher Airlines

We are in Room No 9 at Bhagodya Niwas in Bhatwadi. This is Kisan Nagar No 3 and it is part of the Wagale Estate area in Thane. The room is quite small and fits just what we need. We have a few files and a small wooden table. Most of the time it is hot so we keep the door open to get some air from the passage. The neighbors are good people who have lived here forever. They help out if we need a hand with moving something. Wagale Estate has a lot of factories and small industrial units. It is always a bit dusty. You can hear the machines humming from the nearby buildings. Kingfisher Airlines started in this room because we needed a place to sit and manage our daily tasks. It is not a grand place by any means. The roof leaks a tiny bit during the heavy rains in July and August. We just put a bucket there and carry on. It is just a normal room in a normal chawl. People come by to ask for directions to the main road sometimes. We tell them where to go. Life here is simple and predictable. We wake up, open the room, and see what needs doing. Some days are slow and we just read the local paper. Other days are frantic. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us.
