Khushi Bag House

I started Khushi Bag House near the Dena Bank at Marine Lines quite some time ago. We are at number 1, so we are pretty easy to spot if you are walking in that area. It’s a small shop, but it’s packed with bags from the floor to the ceiling. We have all sorts of things, from small pouches to bigger travel bags, just hanging on hooks everywhere. The space is tight, so you have to be careful not to knock anything over when you walk in. Being so close to Marine Lines means we get a lot of people passing by after work or on their way to the bank. The sea breeze comes in sometimes, which is nice when it gets hot, but mostly it’s just the sound of cars and people talking outside. I usually sit near the front so I can see who is coming in. My desk is covered in old receipts and notebooks where I keep track of what we sell. It isn't a high-tech operation by any means. If a zipper is stuck, I usually try to fix it right there for the person. People come in looking for something sturdy for school or work. We don't have any fancy lighting or decorations. It’s just a local shop doing what it can. I’ve lived around here for years, so I know most of the shopkeepers on this block. Anyway, it’s a bit of a routine, but I like the pace of it. It suits me fine.
