Khatri Art

Khatri Art is actually inside a residential building called Haridwar Chs, specifically at Flat No 10 in the B Wing. We are located in Malad West, right on the 1St Main in Gandhinagar. It’s a bit different because it’s a home-based setup rather than a big shop on the main road. We use the main room of the flat for most of our work, so there are brushes, paints, and canvases leaning against almost every piece of furniture. It’s a bit messy, but that’s just how art goes sometimes. We have to be careful not to spill anything on the rug. Living and working in the same place means we are pretty much always around if something needs to be finished. The neighbors are used to us carrying supplies up and down the stairs by now. It’s a quiet enough building, which is good when you need to focus on a particular piece. Sometimes we open the windows to let the paint fumes out and get a bit of a breeze from the Malad streets. We don't really have a big sign outside, so people usually just have to know we are in Flat 10. We just spend our days working on whatever project is currently on the easel. It’s a small operation, just us and our tools, trying to make something decent every day without too much fuss. We just keep painting and drawing until the light goes down in the evening.
