We operate out of the Worli BDD Buildings, specifically Building No. 42/65 on Ngb Road. These buildings have a lot of history in this part of the city, and they are quite sturdy, even if they look a bit worn on the outside. Our space is usually filled with the smell of leather and various tools we use throughout the day. It’s not a large area, so we have to be smart about where we put everything. Kgn Leather is basically just a few of us working together in a small room. We have benches where the cutting happens and racks where the finished pieces sit for a while. The Ngb Road is always noisy with cars and buses going past, but after a while, you don't even notice it anymore. We get our supplies delivered early in the morning before the traffic gets too bad. The BDD area has a real community feel to it, and we know most of the other people working in the nearby units. Sometimes we have to move stuff out into the hallway just to have room to move around inside. It’s a practical setup and we don't spend much time worrying about how it looks to outsiders. We just want to get the leather prepped and the orders sent out to where they need to go. It’s hard work on the hands, but we are used to it by now.
