Up on the sixth floor of Vishwa Nanak, we have our office for Kedia Lamikote (India) Ltd. We are located on 1st Link Road in Chakala, which is a part of Andheri East that never seems to sleep. Being on the sixth floor gives us a bit of a break from the street-level noise, but you can still hear the city humming away. Our space is filled with the things you’d expect for a company dealing with laminates and coatings—there are samples everywhere and a lot of technical sheets lying around. It’s a practical workspace, not a showroom. We spend our hours talking to clients, checking on production schedules, and making sure the billing is correct. The elevator in this building can be a bit slow, so we end up waiting a lot and talking to the neighbors from the other offices. We have a small team, and everyone knows what they are supposed to be doing. There isn't a lot of hierarchy here; we just pitch in where needed. Some days are stressful when shipments are delayed, but mostly we just keep a steady pace. We've got a couple of windows that let in some good light in the morning, which makes the office feel a bit bigger than it is. We aren't big on meetings; we just talk across the room when something needs to be decided. It’s a straightforward way to run a business in a busy area, focusing on the tasks we have.
