Kay Dee Metallizer & Engineering

Our workshop is located at 36 Saki Vihar, right across from the Telephone Exchange. It is a pretty easy spot to find because of that. The building is an engineering space, so it is full of machines, lathes, and the smell of cutting oil. We spend most of our time on the shop floor rather than in the office. It gets quite hot during the summer, especially with all the machines running, so we have a few big industrial fans blowing air around. The floor is concrete and has plenty of scratches and marks from moving heavy metal parts around. We do a lot of coating and metal work here, so everyone usually has a bit of grease on their hands. There is a small desk in the corner where we keep the blueprints and the orders, but it is usually buried under tools or metal scraps. We have been at this Saki Vihar location for a good while and have seen the neighborhood change a lot. The traffic outside is always a mess, so we try to get our deliveries done early in the morning. It is a tough, gritty kind of job, but we like the work. Sometimes we stay late to finish a piece, and the only sound is the hum of the machines. We aren't big on meetings, we just get to the engineering part and stay busy.
