Karmic Travels is based in Vile Parle East, specifically at B/7 in the Shivam Apartment building. We are on the ground floor, which is pretty convenient since it’s right opposite the Greater Mumbai Bank. People often see our sign when they’re going to the bank and stop in to ask about tickets or trips. The office isn't very large, just enough space for a few desks and some chairs for people to sit while we look things up on the computer. Travel can be a headache with all the changes and cancellations, so we spend a lot of our time on the phone or checking schedules. We aren't some big online booking site; we’re just real people sitting in an office in Vile Parle. Sometimes the internet goes slow or the phones won't stop ringing, but we just handle it as it comes. We’ve been here in Shivam Apartment for a good bit of time. It’s a familiar spot for the neighborhood. We don’t have any fancy brochures or big ads. People mostly find out about us through word of mouth or by just walking past. We like being on the ground floor because we can see what’s happening on the street. It’s a decent place to work, and being near the bank means there’s always some activity around us throughout the day. We try to keep things organized but the desk usually has too many papers on it.
