Karan Tours & Travels

You can find us right on Sharddhanand Road, not far from St Xaviers College. Being Karan Tours & Travels means we spend a lot of our day looking at maps and checking bus or train timings for people. It is a lively spot because of all the students walking past and the general rush of the road. Sometimes someone will wander in just to ask for directions or to see how much a ticket to the coast might cost. We have a couple of old calendars on the wall and the chairs are a bit worn out, but they are comfortable enough if you have to wait a few minutes. We handle a lot of local travel and some longer trips too, mostly for families or people working nearby who need to get home for the holidays. The phone rings quite a bit, especially in the mornings. We don't have a big fancy website or anything. Most people just know us from seeing the shop while they are heading to the college or the station. It is a lot of looking at screens and writing down names and dates. Sometimes the printer jams when we are trying to get a ticket out, but we usually get it sorted quickly. We have been here on Sharddhanand Road for a good while and we like the routine of the neighborhood. It’s just a regular travel office doing what it can to help people get where they need to go without making it a big deal.
