Belt Factory

Our setup is inside the Gundecha Industrial Complex on Akurli Road. If you know Kandivali East, you know it's a busy spot with lots of units packed together. We are at number 227. It is mostly just the sound of machines and people moving boxes around here. We make belts. It is what we do every day. The space is a bit cramped because of all the leather and materials we keep on hand. We started out small and just stayed in this same complex because it's convenient for shipping things out. The stairs are a bit narrow and the lighting could be better, but it works for what we need. Most of the guys have been working here for years. We aren't trying to be some big corporate office. It's just a factory floor where the work gets done. You can smell the materials as soon as you walk down the hall. We handle everything from cutting the strips to putting the buckles on. Sometimes the machinery breaks down and we have to spend the afternoon fixing it ourselves. It's noisy and dusty, but that’s the reality of a manufacturing unit. We don't have a front desk or anything like that. If you come by, you'll probably just find us in the middle of a production run. It's hard work, but we are used to the rhythm of the place now.
