We operate out of Plot No.59/A in the Government Industrial Estate over in Charkop. It’s in Kandivli West, a part of town that’s always moving. We make ice cream here. On hot days, it’s probably the best place to be, though the cold rooms are actually quite freezing. It’s a family-run kind of feel even though we’ve grown over time. We use a lot of fruit and milk, and you can usually smell whatever flavor we are making that day from the street. The floor is always wet from cleaning, which we do constantly because food stuff needs to be kept right. We don't have a big marketing department writing fancy slogans for us. We just make the ice cream and send it out to the shops. Sometimes we experiment with new fruits we find at the market, and if they taste good, we make a batch. It’s a lot of hard work, lifting heavy containers and staying on top of the refrigeration. If the power fluctuates, we all get a bit nervous about the stock. But mostly, it’s just a routine of making sure the mix is right and the freezing is consistent. We are just local people making a dessert that we hope people enjoy when they buy a scoop at the parlor.
