Kalpataru Enterprises

Our office is at 85 Mody Street, right in the heart of Fort, up on the first floor of Meghdoot Chambers. It’s a busy part of Mumbai, and Kalpataru Enterprises fits right in with the other small businesses around here. We’ve got the typical setup you’d expect in an old commercial building—heavy wooden doors, some old metal cabinets, and windows that don't always close quite right. The atmosphere is generally practical. We aren't here to show off a fancy workspace. Most of the time, we are busy with the paperwork and the logistics of our daily operations. You can hear the fans whirring over the sound of the traffic outside. Sometimes the mailman comes in with a stack of letters and we spend the next hour sorting through them. We have a small corner for making tea, which is where most of the actual talking happens. It’s not a corporate environment by any means. It’s just a group of us trying to get through the to-do list before the day ends. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, but our little corner remains pretty much the same. People know where to find us if they need something handled. We don't use a lot of technology beyond what is necessary, preferring to keep things simple and direct. It’s a lot of manual work and checking things twice. That's just how we do it here, day in and day out, without making a big deal of it.
