Nariman Point is always moving fast, and being in Maker Chambers IV means we see a lot of that hustle every single day from our spot at 111. We are Kalpataru Developers and Granite Industries, though mostly we just think of ourselves as a team trying to keep things organized. The office has piles of samples here and there, mostly different types of stone and granite that we look at all day. It’s not the quietest place because the phones are usually ringing or someone is walking in with a question about a delivery. We’ve been here long enough that the guards downstairs know our faces. The view outside is mostly other buildings, but if you lean a bit, you can see the sky. We spend a lot of time on the phone with sites and suppliers. Sometimes the air conditioning is too cold, and other times it barely feels like it's on, but that’s just how these old buildings are. We don't have a big fancy reception area. People just walk in and find whoever they need to talk to. It’s a bit messy with blueprints and files, but we know where everything is. We usually take turns going down for tea or just bringing it up in those little paper cups. Work keeps us busy from morning until quite late, especially when there are deadlines for the granite shipments or building projects we are tracking. It is a lot of coordination, but we have a rhythm that works for our group.
