Kala Engineering

We are set up in the Pooja Compound, right across from 56-B in the Govt. Industrial Estate here in Kandivli West. It’s a bit of a maze in this part of Bhabrekar Nagar, but we’ve been here long enough to know our way around. Kala Engineering isn't a huge operation. We are just a group of people who enjoy working with our hands and fixing things. The workshop is always full of different metal pieces and machines that need attention. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, especially when all the equipment is running at once. We don't have a fancy reception desk or anything like that. If you drop by, you’ll likely see us in our work clothes, probably busy with a lathe or a welding torch. We take on various engineering jobs, some small and some a bit more involved. It’s the kind of place where things get done without a lot of talking. We like the industrial estate because everyone else is doing the same kind of work, so there’s a sense of shared effort. It’s noisy, dusty, and busy, but that is how we like it. We focus on the task at hand and try to make sure everything that leaves our shop is solid. It’s a simple way to make a living, and it keeps us on our toes. Sometimes the work is tough, but there is a lot of satisfaction in figuring out a difficult repair.
