We’ve been in Kandivali for quite some time now, just tucked away where everyone knows the local landmarks. Jyoti isn't a big flashy place with glass doors or anything like that. It’s more of a practical spot where we get our daily work done without much fuss. The morning usually starts with the sound of the shutters rolling up, which always seems a bit louder when the street is still waking up. We’ve got a couple of old desks and some shelves that have seen better days, but they do the job just fine. Most of our day is spent handling things as they come in, talking to the people who drop by, and making sure the paperwork doesn’t pile up too high. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so the ceiling fan is always humming away in the background. We don't spend much time worrying about how the office looks to outsiders. Instead, we focus on the tasks at hand and getting things out the door on time. Sometimes the traffic outside gets so loud we have to shout a bit to be heard, but you get used to that living in this part of town. Lunch is usually brought from home and eaten right at the desk while we chat about whatever is in the news. It’s a simple way to run things, but it works for us. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just show up, do the work, and head home when the sun goes down.
