Jyoti Engineering Works

You can find our workshop in Bhandup West. We are on the first floor of the Devkinandan Society. It’s a bit of an unusual spot for engineering work since it’s in a building called Charming Apartment, but we’ve made it work for years. We are close to the Miniland Tank Road. The sounds of machines are part of our daily life. We do a lot of small-scale engineering jobs. Sometimes it’s fixing a part for a local factory or making something custom for a neighbor who needs a bracket made. There is always a smell of oil and metal in the air. We have some lathes and drills that have been with us since the start. They are old but they still work perfectly if you know how to handle them. The space is a bit tight with all the scrap metal and tools lying around. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit. We are usually in overalls and have grease under our fingernails. People bring in broken things and ask if we can make them work again. Most of the time, we find a way. It’s about being practical and using what you have. We don't have a big marketing department. People just know us by word of mouth in the Bhandup area. We just focus on the job at hand and try to get it finished so the customer can get back to their own work without waiting.
