Just Chocolates

Our little place is tucked away in Colaba, over at the B/33 address. It’s not a big factory or a high-end boutique like you see in the fancy parts of town. Most days it smells like melting cocoa and sugar in here, which isn't a bad way to spend your time if you ask me. We started out just making small batches of truffles and bars for our friends and then it kind of grew into this small business. We do almost everything by hand, so the pieces don't always look identical or perfectly square. Some might be a bit bigger than others, but they all taste the same because we use the same recipe every time. We use whatever ingredients we can get that are fresh from the market nearby. Sometimes we run out of a certain type of dark chocolate because we didn't make enough that morning. It's just a few of us working in the back room. We wrap things in simple foil or plain paper boxes. People usually find us by word of mouth or if they live nearby and see the small sign we put out. It’s quiet in the mornings when we are prepping, but gets a bit more active in the afternoons. We don't have a big fancy display case, just a few jars and wooden trays where we keep the day's batch. If you come by late in the evening, there might not be much left on the shelves for you to choose from.
