I work out of Room Number 1 in Building Number 53. It’s on Sar Sandhut Road in the Maneja area. If you know where Bashir Mehandiwala is, we are quite close to that landmark. The building is one of those standard ones you see around here, and being on the ground floor makes it easy to get in and out. The area has a lot of industrial feel to it, especially with Fag India nearby. It’s not a fancy neighborhood, but it is where things happen. My space is just a single room, really. I’ve got my basic setup there, nothing too elaborate. The road outside can get quite dusty when the trucks go by, so I usually keep the door closed. It’s a bit quiet inside, which is good for getting things done. I’ve been here for a while now, and I’ve gotten to know the people who work in the other rooms and the shops nearby. It’s a regular routine—get in early, sort out the day's tasks, and stay until the sun starts to go down. The room is small, so I have to keep it fairly tidy, or else I can't find anything. There’s a ceiling fan that hums along all day, and that’s about the only noise you hear when the traffic dies down. It’s just a practical place to be for the kind of work I do. It works for me.
