Jitu Tours & Travels

Down here in Andheri East, things move fast. We are at number 2, right in the middle of it all. Jitu Tours & Travels has been operating out of this small space for a good bit of time now. We mostly focus on getting people where they need to go, whether it's just across town or for a long trip out of Mumbai. The traffic in Andheri is always a mess, so we spend a lot of time looking at maps and talking to the drivers on their mobile phones. It’s a simple setup. A couple of desks, some maps on the wall, and the smell of tea from the stall nearby. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just Jitu and the rest of the staff making sure the cars are clean and ready. People come in to book for weddings or sometimes just a weekend getaway to the hills. It’s a lot of coordination. You have to make sure the driver knows the route and the car has enough petrol. Sometimes things get delayed, that’s just life in the city, but we do what we can. We like being in Andheri because everything is close by. The locals know where to find us if they need a ride. It's not a fancy office with glass walls, just a practical place to run a travel business. We just want to get through the day and make sure the bookings are done right.
