Jaywant Paint Mart

You can find us at 137 Bhandari Street, right on Patthe Bapurao Road near Cawasji Patel Tank. It’s an old part of the city and the streets are quite narrow. We’ve been here at this location for a good while. Inside the shop, it’s mostly stacks of paint cans and brushes. We have colors everywhere. Sometimes the floor gets a bit stained from spills over the years, but that's just part of being a paint shop. We spend our days mixing colors and helping people figure out how much paint they actually need for a room. It gets pretty cramped when we get a big delivery of tins. We have to stack them high to make room for people to walk. The area around Cawasji Patel Tank is always full of life, with lots of other small shops nearby. We know most of the people on our street. We open the doors early and stay until the evening light starts to fade. It’s a lot of lifting heavy buckets, so it keeps us moving. We don't have any fancy displays. We just have what people need for their houses or shops. Some customers have been coming to us for years, ever since their parents were the ones doing the painting. It’s just a regular local shop where we try to keep things simple and honest. We usually have a bit of a rush on Saturday mornings when everyone starts their home projects.
