Jayshree Pahadinathji Farsan Mart

You can find us at number 11 on Babrekar Nagar Road in Kandivali West. We sell farsan and snacks to the people around here. The shop smells like fried food most of the time because we’re always making fresh batches of things. It’s a local mart, so it’s not very big. We have the usual stuff like gathiya, chiwda, and different types of sev. People come in the mornings to get things for their tea, or in the evening on their way home. We try to keep the containers full, but sometimes things sell out faster than we expect. The road outside can get a bit crowded with the local market nearby. We’ve lived and worked in Kandivali for a long time, so we know most of the customers by name. It’s just a simple family-run kind of place. We don't have fancy packaging or a big marketing team. We just weigh the snacks, bag them up, and that’s it. Some days are busier than others, especially during festivals when everyone wants snacks for their guests. We just keep frying and packing. It’s a lot of standing around, but we enjoy talking to the neighbors. If you need something crunchy to eat, this is where we are. Just a small mart on Babrekar Nagar Road doing what we've always done for years now. It is hard work staying near the hot stoves, but we are used to it by now.
