Our place is on the second floor of the business complex on Fair Deal Road. It’s right there in Goregaon East, not too far from the Milap Saibaba building. Being on the second floor means we have to haul everything up, which can be a bit of a workout, but we’ve managed it for years now. Jayesh Engineering Company is basically a small group of people who know how to handle machines. We aren't interested in sounding professional or polished; we just want to make sure the parts we make are solid. The office part is small, mostly just a place to keep the ledgers and have a seat when the legs get tired. Most of the action happens out on the floor where the equipment is. Fair Deal Road is always humming with activity, and you can hear the city noise coming through the windows all day. We have regular customers who have been coming to us since we first opened our doors at number 31. Sometimes they stay for a chat and a cup of chai while we look over their requirements. It’s a bit cramped with all the materials lying around, but we know where everything is. We don’t do things the fast way or the shortcut way; we just do them the way they’re supposed to be done. It’s honest work in a busy part of town, and we just focus on the task right in front of us.
