Jathar General Store Tours & Travels

Started out as a small shop in the Sai Sadan Building on the ground floor. It's mostly just us running things here. People come in for daily groceries and then end up asking about train tickets or bus bookings. It's a bit of a mix, but it works for the neighborhood. We've been at Mahalaxmi for a while now. The space isn't huge, but we keep the shelves stocked and the computer ready for travel bookings. Sometimes it gets busy when the milk arrives or when someone needs a last-minute ticket to their village. We don't have a big office or anything fancy. Just a counter and some chairs. If you walk past the ground floor, you'll see us. It’s a family-run kind of thing. We know most of the people who live around here by name. Dealing with both general items and travel can be a lot of work, but we manage. We handle the paperwork for trips while selling bread or snacks. It's how things are done in this part of town. Nothing complicated. Just keeping the shop open every day and helping folks get what they need, whether it's a bag of rice or a seat on a bus. We aren't trying to be a big agency. We just stay here in Sai Sadan and do our bit. It’s been our daily routine for a long time now and we don’t really plan on changing much about how we run things.
