Janu Bag House

Janu Bag House is up on the first floor of the Seksaria Building in Ahmedabad. We are located on Judges Banglow Road, which is a pretty well-known area in Bodakdev. The address is a bit confusing because it also mentions SVP Road, but we are easy enough to find once you get to the building. We’ve got a lot of different bags stored here. Since we are on the first floor, we don’t get as many walk-ins as a street shop, but people who know us come up. We spend our time organizing the stock and talking to people who are looking for sturdy luggage or school kits for their children. The room has high ceilings and large windows that let in some light from the street below. We keep our inventory stacked, or at least we try to keep it neat. Sometimes we get behind on the cleaning, and a bit of dust settles on the top shelves. It’s mostly a quiet operation. We sit at the back near the window and keep track of what’s coming in and what’s going out. Ahmedabad can get very hot, so we appreciate being indoors during the middle of the day with the fan on. We’ve been in the bag business for a long time, and we know what people are looking for. It’s a basic setup with no frills, just plenty of bags and a place to sit and talk. We stay open until the building closes up.
