Janata Masala

You can find Janata Masala in the Shree Sadan Building on Vaalabh Bagh Lane. We are in Ghatkopar East, very close to Tip Top Farsan, which is a place most people know for snacks. Being in Ghatkopar means we are in a very busy part of the city. The lane is always full of people shopping or heading to the station. Our office in the Shree Sadan Building is where we handle all the administrative stuff and the small-scale packing. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes, especially when we have new stock coming in. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls, just some calendars and maybe a few old photos. The sounds of the street come right through the windows, so it’s never really quiet. We’ve got a couple of people working here who have been with us since the start. We usually start the day with a cup of tea and a look at the orders that came in overnight. There is nothing corporate about how we run things. If a customer has a problem, they just call us up and we talk it out like normal people. We focus on the masala and making sure it gets to the stores on time. It’s a simple life in a crowded building, but we’ve made a good home for the business here over the years. The lift in the building is a bit temperamental, so we often end up taking the stairs instead.
