My office is located on the second floor of Radha Krishan Niwas in Kishan Nagar-3. This is in the Bhatwadi area of Thane West. It is a typical advocate’s office, which basically means there are stacks of papers on every surface and law books that have not been moved in quite some time. I have been practicing law in this same spot for a good number of years now. People from around the neighborhood usually come by when they have some trouble with their property papers or a small family matter they need help with. It is not one of those glass-walled offices you see in a skyscraper. You have to walk up the stairs and you will usually find me sitting right behind a big, old wooden desk. The building itself is a bit aged, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels right for the kind of work we do here. I spend a lot of my time at the local courts in Thane, so the office is sometimes empty during the morning hours. My clerk stays here to take messages and handle the files. We do not have any big marketing plans or fancy signs. People just find me through word of mouth from their neighbors. It is a local practice and I know most of the people who live nearby. (249 words)
