Jadhav Provision General Store

I have been running Jadhav Provision General Store in Vishwakarma Estate for quite some time now. Shop 121 is basically my second home. I open up around seven in the morning because people need their milk and bread early. It is a small place, packed with everything from soap to rice. I know most people in Manohar Jadhav Chawl by name. We talk about the weather or the kids while I am weighing out the sugar. It is dusty work sometimes. The shelves are a bit crowded, and I keep meaning to organize them better but something always comes up. My wife helps me in the afternoons so I can take a nap. We do not have a delivery bike, so people just walk over and carry their bags back. If someone forgets their wallet, I just write it down in my red book. They pay me back next time. That is how it works here. Kandivali West has gotten much busier over the years with more traffic and noise. But inside the shop, it feels the same as it did ten years ago. I have an old radio on the shelf that keeps me company during the slow hours. I am not looking to expand or change anything. This shop is enough for us. It pays the bills and keeps us busy. It is a simple life and I like it that way.
