Our small office is at 23 1 Ukarsh Jivan Vikas Mandal, located in Vijay Nagar, Bandrekar Wadi in Jogeshwari East, Mumbai. If you know Mumbai, you know how crowded and lively these lanes can be. Jogeshwari is a place that never really stops moving. We are surrounded by small shops, residential blocks, and the constant hum of the city. The space we have is quite compact, as is typical for this part of Mumbai, but we make the most of it. We have shelves lining the walls to keep all our files because there isn’t much floor space to spare. On rainy days, the water puddles up right outside the entrance, and we all have to jump over them to get inside. It is not the kind of place where you wear a suit and tie. We dress for the weather and the commute. The fans are always on high speed to beat the humidity, and there is usually a stack of delivery boxes near the door. We know the neighbors well, from the shopkeepers next door to the families living in the building. It is a busy, slightly messy, and very real environment. We don't have a HR department or a cafeteria; we just order tea from the stall across the road and eat lunch at our desks. It’s a hardworking spot in a part of the city that knows the value of a long day’s work.
