J I Bags

We are located at 14 Nagpada, which is a place with a lot of history. J I Bags is a small operation, and we like it that way. The room we work in is filled with the smell of new fabric and the sound of the old sewing machine. It is not a quiet place, especially when the neighbors are out on the street talking. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who have been doing this for years. Sometimes we sit on the floor to cut the patterns because it is easier than using the small table. Our bags are simple and meant to be used until they wear out. We don't go for anything too flashy or complicated. Usually, we start work early in the morning before the sun gets too high and the room gets too warm. Nagpada is a place where everyone knows everyone, so we often spend time chatting with people who pass by the door. We don't have a fancy catalog to show. If someone wants a bag, they just look at what we have finished that day. We try to keep enough stock so people have choices, but space is limited. It is a very honest way to make a living. We don't have big dreams of being a huge company; we just want to keep the shop running and make bags for the local people.
