We’ve been running things at irani architects for quite some time now. Our main spots are in Parel, Mumbai and over in Bopal, Ahmedabad. It keeps us pretty busy moving between the two cities, but we like the change of pace. It's just us doing what we do, sketching out plans and trying to make sure things actually get built the way they're supposed to. We spend a lot of time on sites or just staring at drawings until they look right. It’s a lot of back and forth with contractors and clients, sometimes it gets a bit messy but that’s just how this line of work is. We don't have some big fancy office with a receptionist and all that. It's more of a workspace where we get our hands dirty. Sometimes the traffic in Mumbai makes us late for meetings in Parel, and Bopal is a bit quieter but has its own set of challenges with local builders. We just try to get the job done without too much fuss. If someone needs a plan for a house or a renovation, they usually just drop by or give us a call. We don't really do much advertising, word of mouth seems to work okay for us. It's mostly about making sure the walls are straight and the roof doesn't leak. We’ve seen a lot of changes in how people build stuff over the years, but the basics stay the same. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm around, just the one that gets the job finished.
