Down here in Ambawadi, specifically in Amraknj Society, you’ll find us at Imi Machine Tools Pvt. Ltd. We’ve been set up at O:19 on S.M. Road for quite some time. It’s a busy area, lots of people moving around, but our spot feels like home. We deal with machine tools, which is exactly what it sounds like. There’s a lot of grease and metal involved, and it isn’t always the cleanest job in the world. Most of us have been doing this for a long time, so we know our way around the equipment. It’s not a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s just a place where things get done. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we absolutely have to. Most of the day is spent with our hands on the tools. If the phone rings, we answer it, but we’d rather be working out back. Being in a society like Amraknj means we have neighbors to consider, so we try not to be too loud too early in the morning. It’s a steady rhythm here. We’re not looking to become some giant corporation. We just want to keep the machines running for the people who need them. It’s decent work and it pays the bills. That’s about all there is to say. We’re just local folks keeping the wheels turning and making sure the parts fit right. It's a simple life for us here on S.M. Road.
