Hyatt Regency Hotel

Our Hyatt Regency Hotel office is over in Navpada, Marol. We are in the A Wing of Aapali Ekta Society, Room 520. It’s right across from the Leela Hotel, so we are in the middle of the big hotel district in Andheri East, but our actual office is in a much more modest residential building. It’s a bit of a contrast. We go through the society gate every morning past the kids playing cricket. The room is on the fifth floor and the lift is sometimes a bit moody, so we take the stairs if we are in a hurry. Inside, it’s a busy place with people coming and going. We handle a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff here. There are files everywhere and the printers are always running. You can hear the planes taking off from the airport nearby, which is a constant sound in Marol. We don't have the fancy marble floors or the big chandeliers of the main hotel here. It’s just a plain room with white walls and a few desks. We keep a water cooler in the corner and a calendar with everyone's birthdays on it. It’s a very human way to work. We know the local shops where we get our lunch and the auto drivers at the stand outside the society. It’s a practical, no-nonsense space where we just get the daily jobs finished and head home when the day is done.
