Hotel Safeer Inernational

Hotel Safeer International is sitting on the 2nd floor of a building on Nayar Varatha-Pillai Street in Royapettah. Chennai gets very hot in the summer so we keep the fans going all day. The street outside is 16/37 and it stays busy with people going about their business. We aren't a giant luxury resort but we have been around for a while. Usually, travelers find us when they need a place to stay that is right in the middle of everything in Chennai-19. The stairs up to the second floor can be a bit steep if you are carrying heavy bags. We have a small reception desk where someone is usually sitting and reading the paper or checking guests in. The rooms are basic and we try to keep them as tidy as possible. You can hear the sounds of Royapettah from the windows which gives you a real feel for the city. Sometimes the neighbors are loud or there is a festival on the street. We deal with all sorts of people coming through our doors from different parts of India. We don't have a big fancy lobby with marble floors. It’s just a regular local hotel where we do the work ourselves. We keep a register on the desk and try to make sure everyone has what they need for the night. It's a busy life here in this part of town.
