Hotel Ganges Rivera

You’ll find us out in Raiwala, near the Hosiyari Mandir. It’s a quiet area of Dehradun, away from the main rush of the city. Being in Uttrakhand, we get some beautiful views, especially when the weather is clear. The hotel isn't one of those massive modern buildings; it’s more of a local spot where people stop when they’re traveling through. We spend our days making sure the rooms are ready and the kitchen is stocked up. Keeping things clean takes up a lot of time, especially with the dust that blows in from the road. The staff here mostly come from the surrounding villages. We’re like a small family, really. We have our own way of doing things, nothing too formal. If a guest needs something, we just try to find a way to help them out. The area around the temple is peaceful, and we like that. Sometimes we have issues with the water or the electricity, but that's just life in this part of the country. We fix what we can and keep going. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. People usually find us because they were passing by or someone told them about us. Running Hotel Ganges Rivera is a pretty simple life. We just want people to have a decent place to sleep and a hot meal before they head back out on the road. It's a nice change of pace.
