You can find Hello Ice Cream & Falooda Centre over in Deonar, specifically in the Kamakshipalya Industrial Extension area near Magadi Main Road and Basaveshwara Nagar. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the address, but we’re right in the thick of it. Being in an industrial area means we get a lot of workers coming in for a cold break. They want something heavy like a falooda to fill them up. I spend a lot of time getting the noodles and the basil seeds ready. The syrup has to be just right too. We have these tall glasses that we fill up, and it’s a whole process to get the layers looking decent. It’s not a quiet place, that’s for sure. There’s always trucks moving nearby and the sound of machines from the factories. But inside the shop, we just focus on the orders. The falooda is probably what we’re known for most around here. People come from the other side of Basaveshwara Nagar just to grab one. I’ve been working behind this counter for a few years now, and I’ve seen all sorts of people come through. Some are in a hurry, others just want to sit for a minute and forget about the heat. We don't have any fancy decorations, just the menu on the wall and the ingredients ready to go. It’s a busy life, but it keeps me moving from morning until we lock up at night.
