Have Fun Softy Center

We run the Have Fun Softy Center on the corner of Nati Seva Sadan Road and Lake Road. It is a small place that focuses mainly on soft-serve ice cream. We have two machines that stand against the back wall. They hum quite loudly all day long. The shop is simple, with white tiles and a stainless steel counter where we put out the chocolate sauce and sprinkles. Being near Lake Road, we get a lot of people who are out for an evening walk. They usually stop by for a quick cone before heading home. The floor often gets sticky because kids aren't very careful with their ice cream, so I am always mopping up. We have a few old posters of softy cones on the windows that are a bit faded from the sun. The lighting is just a couple of long tube lights that buzz a little bit. It is not a place where people stay for a long time; they just buy their ice cream and move on. Sometimes the water supply is a bit slow, which makes cleaning the machines at night take longer than it should. We keep the prices low because we want everyone in the neighborhood to be able to come in. It is a straightforward business. We don't have a website or anything like that. If you want a softy, you just walk up to the counter and ask.
