Gurudev Travels

If you find yourself near the P N Bank in Sakinaka, you'll likely see our sign for Gurudev Travels. We are tucked into Shop No 3 on Plot No 105/A, over in the Trim area. It’s a busy little corner of the world. We spend most of our time booking tickets and talking to people about where they need to go. The shop is small and usually has a few calendars on the wall. We have been here long enough that the regulars just walk in and sit down for a chat. Sakinaka is always crowded and dusty, so the shop is a bit of a refuge from the street noise. We deal with buses, trains, and sometimes flights depending on what people ask for. It’s not a glamorous job but it keeps us busy. We see a lot of travelers passing through this part of Chembur. Sometimes the computers are slow and we have to wait, but that gives us time to talk to the customers. We don't have a big corporate office or a fancy website. It's just us in the shop with a couple of phones and some notebooks. We know the routes and the timings pretty well by now. People trust us because we've been sitting in the same spot for years. It's a simple life running a travel desk. We just try to make sure everyone gets their tickets and reaches their destination without too much trouble. It is just about getting people where they need to be.
